Contact Lenses

Our office follows 2 simple rules when providing contact lenses to our patients: The lenses have to be comfortable and the lenses have to provide the best vision possible. Anything less is an unacceptable contact lens fitting. With contact lens technology drastically changing over the last few years, Dr. Turner will explain the difference in the newest lenses that are available, and find the best solution for the patients eye health, vision, lifestyle, and pocket book. Through our associations with large organizations like Nike, Vision Source, Vistakon, Ciba, Cooper Vision, Ocular Sciences, and Bausch & Lomb our office has access to some of the most exciting cutting edge lenses that most offices in Charleston could only dream of having.

Our office loves to hear “My last doctor just kept me in the same lenses that I have been wearing for years.

Examples of new technology lenses we routinely use with our patients:

  • Nike Sport Contact Lenses:
For the active individual that doesn't like to wear sunglasses while they play tennis, run, outdoor swimming, soccer, and golf. These lenses are just like wearing sunglasses without the frame.
  • High-Oxygen Lenses:
For the far or nearsighted individual that either likes to sleep in their lenses, or wears their lenses full time. These lenses not only provide the clearest vision possible, but they also are the best medical lens to leave on the eye for an extended wear schedule.
  • Astigmatism Correction:
Ever been told you can't wear lenses because of your astigmatism? With the advancements in toric lenses over the last few years, Dr. T will keep you up to date if your prescription has now become available.
  • Bifocal Contact Lenses:
Do you hate having to reach into your purse or your pocket for your reading glasses when you're out to dinner? With the advancements in bifocal contacts, you don't have to rely on those over-the-counter readers.
